Privacy policy

This policy explains how Velortec handles personal data when you visit velortec.com.br. Velortec is a Brazilian company, so this policy follows Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, known as LGPD), and the sections below also cover visitors from Canada and the United States. In short: this website has no forms, uses no cookies and only measures visits in an anonymous, aggregated way.

Who is responsible for your data

D.A.S. Soluções em Tecnologia LTDA, Brazilian company registration (CNPJ) 42.105.292/0001-77, based in Recife, Brazil, owner of the Velortec brand. For anything related to your data, email [email protected].

What this website doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies.
  • It doesn’t use Google Analytics, social media pixels or any tool that identifies you or follows your browsing across other websites.
  • It has no forms: nothing you type here is sent to us.
  • It doesn’t sell or share personal data for advertising.

What happens when you visit

Hosting. The website is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web server, receives technical connection data (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect the site against attacks. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf, for that purpose, under its own privacy policy. The legal basis under the LGPD is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (art. 7, IX).

Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many visits the site gets, which pages are viewed most, which website and country visitors come from, and what type of device they use. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t store anything in your browser and doesn’t create an identifier to recognize you on a later visit or on other websites: we only see aggregated numbers. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf. The legal basis under the LGPD is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it (art. 7, IX).

Fonts. The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts. To do that, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Google states that it doesn’t use this data to build advertising profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in displaying the site correctly.

Theme and language preferences. If you pick the light or dark theme, or choose between English and Portuguese, that choice is stored only in your browser (in local storage, not in a cookie) and is never sent to us. To suggest the right language, the page asks Cloudflare which country the visit comes from; that country is used only in your browser at that moment and is not stored. You can delete these preferences by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

When you contact us

The contact buttons open your email app or WhatsApp. From there, you decide what to send. We use your name, phone number, email address and whatever you tell us to reply, schedule your Time Audit and, if it makes sense, prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps, at your request, before entering into a contract (LGPD art. 7, V).

WhatsApp is a Meta service, and email passes through the providers on each side. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy.

We keep these conversations while they’re useful for helping you or while we have a business relationship, and for as long as the law requires for tax and contract obligations. After that, they’re deleted.

Your rights

Under the LGPD (art. 18), you can ask at any time for:

  • confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
  • correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in breach of the law;
  • portability of your data to another provider;
  • information about who we share your data with;
  • deletion of data processed based on your consent, and withdrawal of that consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 15 days. If you feel your request wasn’t handled properly, you can also contact Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Visitors from Canada

If you contact us from Canada, we handle your personal information in line with the principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA): we collect only what we need to reply and work with you, use it only for that purpose, and keep it only as long as necessary. You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent, by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 15 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Visitors from the United States

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Depending on the state you live in, you may have rights to know, access, correct or delete your personal information. Email [email protected] and we’ll honor these requests regardless of where you live.

International transfers

Velortec is based in Brazil. If you contact us from outside Brazil, your information will be stored and processed in Brazil, and our providers (such as Cloudflare, Google, Meta and email providers) may process it in other countries. Data protection laws there may differ from those where you live. We use these providers only for the purposes described above.

As a small-scale data processing agent (ANPD Resolution CD/ANPD No. 2/2022), Velortec’s channel for communication with data subjects is [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If we start using cookies, forms or analytics that identify visitors, this page will be updated beforehand, with the new date at the top.

This is a translation. If there’s any conflict between this version and the Portuguese version, the Portuguese version prevails, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.
